Introduction
GolfBox offers an extensive range of aftermarket shafts for golfers looking to customise or make a change to their current setup.
Please find our full range at: https://www.golfbox.com.au/golf-components/golf-shafts/
Aftermarket shafts are brand agnostic, which means they are not tied to one specific manufacturer. In most cases, this allows you to pair the shaft with your existing club head, provided you select the correct adapter and build specifications.
What you need to complete a shaft build
To have GolfBox build your shaft to suit your existing head, you will need to purchase the following items together on the same order:
- 1 x Shaft
- 1 x Grip
- 1 x Adapter
These items allow our club maker to assemble the shaft so it is ready to fit your existing club head on delivery.
Pricing and checkout information
If you purchase a full-priced shaft, the system will automatically discount the required 1 x Grip and 1 x Adapter to $0 at checkout.
If you purchase a Clearance shaft, you will need to pay for the grip and adapter at checkout.
Our full range of available Grip and Adapter options can be found at:

Important information about adapters
Adapters cannot be purchased as standalone items. They are only available as part of a full shaft build, together with a shaft.
The adapter you choose must match the specific club head you plan to use. For example, if you are building a shaft to suit a TaylorMade Qi4D Driver, you will need the correct TaylorMade shaft adapter for this model: https://www.golfbox.com.au/shafts/taylormade-shaft-adapter-driver/
Once your shaft has been built, it will be ready to affix your existing head when it arrives.
Build specifications required at checkout
When placing your order, the product listing will ask you to confirm the following build specifications:
- Your desired playing length
- Your club make, model, and type
Playing length is measured including the affixed head, meaning the total assembled length with the head attached. Please refer to the below reference image for visual representation.
